Roadside Angels provides a forum by which loved ones and friends of automobile accident victims honor and commemorate those no longer with us by creating a free, individual "Memorial Site" that can be shared with others utilizing secure log-on information. These virtual memorials provide a network of support to compliment other tribute efforts; and, if desired, their stories can be shared with a wide audience, raising awareness and potentially saving the lives of others. While a meaningful source of inspiration, Roadside Angels is not an advocate for or against roadside memorials or whether they should exist; policy on this matter varies widely by state and by country, both legally and culturally. Where there is controversy regarding this issue, Roadside Angels focuses its resources on creating and maintaining a network of compassionate support for those in need, providing a voice to victims, and promoting awareness for safer roads and driving habits. |
